ABSTRACTThis Independent Learning Project (ILP) was focused on a hybrid model of organizational theory and why it is a practical model for running a not for profit today. This ILP examined the impact of incorporation of a hybrid of organizational theory in running of nonprofit organizations due to the economic diversity currently experienced by nonprofits in United States of America... Nonprofit organizations are very important in in the American society as they serve people with social needs in numerous significant ways. However, nonprofits overreliance on government funding and philanthropy is has been increasingly not sustainable, especially in the wake of todays fast-changing economic environment. To that end, the application of hybrid organizational structure will start playing a significant role in improving the sustainability of nonprofits organizations in their pursuit to provide social services. Thus, this ILP has argued that the current traditional organizational models of most nonprofits have to be disrupted by the management of these organization to allow a hybrid model that will facilitate not only financial sustainability but also enable mission-driven success in the nonprofit sector.Table of ContentsCover page 1 TOC \o "1-3" \h \z \u Acknowledgements.2Abstract.2Chapter I HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673957" Introduction 5 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673958" Statement of the problem 5 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673959" History of the problem 6 Scope of the Problem...8 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673960" Rationale 10 Research question11Add the rest of what is on syllabusChapter II: HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673961" Literature Review 12 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673962" Organisational change 12The need for change in nonprofit sector 15 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673963" Why traditional nonprofit organizations frameworks make changing the world hard. 17 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673964" Establishment of new organizational frameworks 20 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673965" Hybrid ventures 20 Nonprofit organizational as social enterprises...23 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673966" Whats next after organizational change? 25 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673967" Rising the tide of commercialization 25 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673968" Mission drift 27 HYPERLINK \l "_Toc290673969" Summary ..
